5 places to see in the Cotswolds

With this beautiful, British summertime, a staycation is becoming the popular holiday of choice for many…and why not? The British Isles and coastline offers some of the most outstanding, natural beauty in the world. Much of which inspires the distinctive designs of our OWL watch collections.

If you’re holidaying in England, the Cotswolds is a must-see region, full of quintessentially British, sandy Cotswold stone, picturesque villages and old oak-beam pubs - perfect for that glass of wine or local ale at the end of a long, day’s exploring.

We’ve rounded up 5 must-see places when you’re visiting the Cotswolds…

Castle Combe

Proclaimed “England’s prettiest village,” Castle Combe consists of beautiful Cotswold cottages and winding narrow roads, it was also the location of our summer OWL shoot (pictured). You cannot get a more quintessentially, Cotswold village and it should be top of your list.

England’s prettiest village

Blenheim Palace

The birth place of Sir Winston Churchill, this stunning historic palace is surrounded by vast grounds, which are also great for long walks with the family. It has a lovely café for lunch and adventure playground to let the kids go wild.

Cotswold Wildlife Park

If you’re looking for a brilliant family day out, look no further than the Cotswold Wildlife Park. Showcasing an array of animals, from rhinos to giraffes, monkeys, lions and even penguins, they roam, relatively free in the grounds against a backdrop of the rolling Cotswold hills. A little train takes you around the grounds, great for younger children and tired legs!

Snowshill Manor and Garden

This unmissable National Trust property is worth the trek uphill (if you’re cycling!). An old manor house, packed full of amazing treasures, it’s a magical place to explore and discover.

Old Swan & Minster Mill Garden Spa

For the ultimate spa day of pampering and relaxation, surrounded by tranquil Cotswolds countryside, look no further than the Swan’s Garden Spa in Minster Lovell. With an indoor heated plunge pool, poolside rock sauna, aroma steam room and ice foundation, it also offers an abundance of treatments - perfect for unwinding.
